We all know about fire alarms in schools and other buildings and I am sure we have all been in at least one "Fire Drill" in our lives. But what are these alarms and drills for? They are to sound a warning of impending doom or disaster so that no one gets harmed. We as Christians, connected to God need to be that alarm to the world to alert them and keep them from falling into the fires of Hell. We don't need to be like a blaring siren like the fire alarms are. Sometimes a gentle word or a smile is enough. People read our lives and that will bring us opportunities to share. We need to preach the Good New of the salvation and saving grace of Jesus Christ and of his soon coming again when we get the opportunity to do so. It could be on a bus, in a store, or walking down the street, that an opportunity comes for you to share. You just need to be ready at all times and not pass up the opportunity to sound the alarm in a loving way to the people you come in contact with. Monday, September 28, 2009
